Announcement from BPB, Arton Celina resigns from the position of Chief Executive Officer
Arton Celina, has announced that he will be resigning from his position as the Chief Executive Officer of BPB.
Mr. Celina will maintain his position until June 30th, 2022, after which date current Deputy CEO Artan Sadiku will take over as Acting CEO until the Board of Directors will make the decision about the permanent replacement. Artan Sadiku, was appointed Deputy Chief Executive of the BPB Bank in August 2016, as he had held several different management positions in the banking career started in 2004.
“The Board of Directors of BPB announces that Mr.Celina has resigned from his position as the Chief Executive Officer of BPB. Under Mr. Celinas’ leadership BPB’s results were elevated at a different level, ensuring stable and steady growth and confirming the banks place as an important institution in the financial sector in Kosovo. Many projects pioneered by Mr. Celina and bank’s strategic repositioning has led to great success. I thank Mr. Arton Celina for his contribution to the BpB development with the celebration of year 2021 being the best financial year in the bank’s history. I wish all the best achieving next professional challenges in his carrier”, said Mr. Ansis Grasmanis, Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Meanwhile, Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Celina, has said that it was a great privilege to successfully lead almost 400 employees, over a period of six years.
“After 6 years, the 30th of June will be my last day in BPB, as its Chief Executive Officer. With this announcement, I want to notify the clients, partners, and all with whom we have cooperated through the years, of my resignation from the post of the CEO of BPB. I am proud to have achieved great results through the transformation accomplished by the application of the appropriate strategic plan devised at the beginning of my journey as the CEO of BPB. I leave with the conviction that BPB will continue reaching new heights. It was a real privilege to lead almost 400 employees through all these years. Our cooperation has led to the most successful period in the history of the bank, and its growth is a testament of the hard work and professionalism of all of us. To all BPB employees with whom I had the honor of working with, thank you.
I also want to thank the Board of Directors and the shareholders for their support, my fellow executives for their cooperation, while wishing them all the best for the future.

Arton Celina was appointed BPB’s CEO and a member of the Board of Directors on May 2016.
